Companies in Georgia Must Update Registration Data by April 1, 2026
Companies registered in Georgia before January 1, 2022 must update their registration data in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Georgia “On Entrepreneurs.” The deadline for bringing registration data into compliance with the law is April 1, 2026.
If a company fails to bring its registration data into compliance with the law, starting January 1, 2027 the registering authority will be entitled to determine that a registration defect exists and set a three-month period for its rectification.
If the defect is not remedied within this period, the Registry will issue a decision to cancel the registration of the entrepreneur and/or its branch.
We recommend that companies start the process of updating their registration data in advance in order to avoid the risk of registration defects being identified.
The REVERA Georgia team is ready to provide legal support at all stages of bringing a company into compliance with legislative requirements.
