What does the Vanuatu passport do?
- Visa to Schengen area for up to 5 years. Visa-free regime: Hong Kong, Singapore, Israel. Possibility to get a tourist visa to the USA for 5 years. Possibility to get a 1 year visa to Australia.
- Possibility to open accounts in foreign banks with less difficulties during bank checking procedures.
- Receive residence permit, permanent residence permit of European countries ("golden visa" of Greece).
- Absence of taxes on wealth, gifts, inheritance, dividends, capital gains.
- There are no additional tax obligations.
Procedure terms
- From 3 to 5 months.
Participation in the programme is currently open to citizens of Belarus and Russia, but this may change depending on the decision of the Vanuatu government authorities.
Costs of citizenship acquisition process
The minimum cost of obtaining Vanuatu citizenship for one applicant is 194,800 USD.
- Investment in the Vanuatu National Development Fund - 130,000 USD.
- Government fee for financial verification of the application - 10,000 USD.
- Government fee for security clearance - 10,000 USD.
- Bank Compliance Fee - 4,500 USD.
- Process support services, including additional costs and fees - 40,000 USD.
What is required?
Stage 1: Analysis of the applicant's identity by the investment fund and the Vanuatu Financial Intelligence Unit.
Applicant needs to submit the following documents:
- Valid passport, scan - colored copy (for all family members);
- CV - in any language (for all family members 18+);
- Valid internal passport/ID: colored copy (for all family members);
- Valid driving license: colored copy (for all family members);
- Criminal record certificate apostilled, can be electronic (6 months) (for all family members);
- Housing and utilities receipts no more than 3 months old (paid by the main applicant);
- Bank statement for the last 6 months with the movement of funds for half a year (for the main applicant).
Step 2: Submission of the second set of documents
The second set of documents includes the following list of documents:
- A valid birth certificate: colored copy (for all family members);
- Passport photo - scan only (for all family members).
- Original workplace letter or documents issued by your company (for the main applicant);
- Diploma of higher education (for all family members);
- 3 letters of recommendation from business partners (for the main applicant) - the text is prepared by us for your convenience;
- Bank statement for 6 months with 250 000 USD in the account;
- Letter of recommendation from the bank (for the main applicant);
- Medical form certified by a doctor (for all family members).
Step 3: Contribution to the Vanuatu National Development Fund of 130,000 USD or more.
A fixed amount must be deposited, given that it is irrevocable.
Step 4: Decision on citizenship.
Step 5: Taking the Oath of Office.
The process takes place remotely via video link with the notary. To do this you will need to sign the text of the oath and show your passport on camera.
Stage 6: Receipt of passports.
Issued documents can be delivered by courier service.
The whole procedure of obtaining citizenship is carried out remotely, personal appearance of applicants is not necessary.
